Our Commitment
The Latino Professionals in Aerospace (LPA) is committed to our community by providing opportunities in aviation. LPA has established key partnerships with both aviation and non-aviation related organizations and companies that allow us to make scholarships available to a diverse group of recipients. These scholarships help recipients further their careers in aviation related fields.
General Eligibility
All applicants must meet these requirements. Some scholarships have additional criteria.
Active LPA Member
Must be an active LPA member (Student, Standard, or Lifetime tier).
Age Requirement
Must be at least 17 years old. United Aviate Academy and EPIC Flight Academy require 18+.
U.S. Based Training
Must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited institution within the United States or its territories.
Direct to Institution
Scholarship amounts vary. All funds are sent directly to the certified educational institution.

Current Resume
One-page limit. Education, work history, volunteer experience, and honors.
Two Recommendations
From professors, employers, or mentors. One page each. LPA members preferred.
Two Essays
500-word limit each. Showcase your passion and alignment with LPA's mission.
Enrollment Verification
Proof of enrollment or acceptance. Required upon awarding of scholarship.

LPA VOLAR Military Scholarship
For active-duty service members, reservists, veterans, and military-affiliated individuals pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace. Supports pilots, aviation technicians, aerospace engineers, and other professionals by helping fund education and training required for success.
LPA Private Pilot Scholarship
For aspiring aviators pursuing their Private Pilot License. Must have a current 3rd Class Medical and be enrolled or plan to enroll in a Part 61 or Part 141 flight school.
LPA Advanced Rating Scholarship
For pilots pursuing CPL, Multi-Engine, CFI/CFII/MEI, ATP/CTP, or select type ratings. Must hold at least a current PPL if pursuing CPL, or a CPL for all other advanced ratings.
LPA Professional Flight Degree Scholarship
For students enrolled in an accredited professional flight degree program. Supports tuition, flight fees, and training associated with collegiate aviation programs.
LPA Aviation Maintenance Technician Scholarship
For individuals training to become FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanics and/or obtain Inspection Authorization. Must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an FAA-recognized A&P program.
EPIC Flight Academy Aviation Maintenance Technician Scholarship
A $25,000 scholarship applied to EPIC's 19-month Aircraft Mechanic Training Program. Must be able to relocate to New Smyrna Beach, FL or Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. Must be 18+, U.S. citizen or permanent resident with high school diploma or equivalency.
LPA Aerospace Degree Advancement Scholarship
For students pursuing any aerospace field including engineering, business, maintenance, air traffic control, dispatch, or technology. Flight training excluded.
United Aviate Academy Scholarship
For applicants conditionally accepted to or currently enrolled at the United Aviate Academy. Must be at least 18 years old. Funds sent directly to the Academy and are non-transferable.
1STEP Prep ATP/CTP Scholarship
For aspiring airline pilots preparing for the ATP-CTP through the 1STEP Prep program. Restricted to applicants in the Miami, FL area. Must hold at least a CPL with Instrument Rating. Travel and lodging not included.
LPA Los Angeles Region Community Scholarship
Recognizes standout community members in the greater Los Angeles area who demonstrate commitment to aviation, aerospace, and community engagement.
American Airlines Dispatcher Certification Scholarship
Offered in partnership with American Airlines to support individuals pursuing an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification. Dispatchers work alongside pilots to plan flights, monitor weather and operational conditions, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Elevated Access Advanced Rating Scholarship
A $10,000 award for a fixed-wing pilot pursuing advanced flight training. Designated for Instrument, Commercial, and instructor certifications. Rotorcraft training is not eligible. Must hold a Private Pilot Certificate and advocate for the mission of Elevated Access.
